Russ Turner

Russ Turner, an Okanagan Valley local, has spent decades climbing and developing the Skaha Bluffs, transforming it into a world-class destination. A passionate rock climber and former mountain guide, Russ traveled extensively before choosing Skaha as his home.

When he began climbing there, the area had few routes and no facilities. Over 30 years, Russ has contributed over 4,300 volunteer hours and $30,000 to create routes, trails, and teaching spaces, fostering a welcoming community for climbers of all levels.
